...SURPRISE!!....

Kayden and I found out a couple weeks ago that we're going to have another baby! We decide to tell his parents and my mom by having these cute cupcakes made at the Cupcakery! The picture doesnt even do them justice as to how PRETTY they were!

The girl was so creative- she put pink and blue booties on the side ones, yellow #2 on the middle ones - and they had glitter and sparkles, not to mention chocolate gnache filling in the cupcake! We took them to my Moms and his parents and casually mentioned we had some extra we thought we'd share. It was so fun watching them figure out what it meant!

Then yesterday, we had tons of family in town and went to an Easter Brunch at my grandparents. So we decided to tell all of them by having Izaak were this shirt Kayden and I made! (That was a lot of fun! haha who knew Kayden could top stitch?) I wish we would have gotten a picture of him IN it... especially before he got strawberry spots on it but you get the gist haha.

Poor I.Z.!

Our sick baby slumpin over in the shopping cart! :(

We DID take him to the doctors where we were told he was "just sick" (thank you, Capt Obvious)... but they did give us some amoxicillan incase he was starting to get an ear infection.

I know its not a celebration, more like a rite of passage, but it was the first prescription medication he has had to take! He's doing good with it though and feeling MUCH better!

DaTe NiGhT!

Last Saturday night, Kayden and I had a fun date night. We went with a couple friends to the eat some delicious mexican food at Border Grill then saw John Mayer in concert!
It was so fun! I am not a huge fan of JM as a person, but Kayden and I love his music. He is soo talented- at one point he was playing the guitar with a drum stick!! THEN he was playing it with the guitar laying on the floor.. it was so awesome.
At one point we got to go down to the floor seating but those seats were crappy! haha I'm glad we went cheap and lucked out with good seats!

What A STUD!!!

Man, my little boy just might be as handsome as his daddy!!
This was him on Sunday in his new suit. He is such a big boy now! He will be nine months in two weeks tomorrow, and this is a 12 month suit!
I didn't realize until this picture just HOW MUCH he looks like Kayden. Hopefully I can hunt down a couple baby pictures of both of us and we'll compare.

Izaak is Crawling!!!

Izaak started crawling on Jan 19. At first he would do a mixture of crawling, then toe touching / stink bug yoga pose, then end with a push up & a dry hump.. haha but now I think he's got it down. Here is a video I took last week!

..ps mute it or you'll have to listen to my annoying "mommy" voice lol :)

The Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge..

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I lost my Bubba Sebastian on January 8, 2010. I received this poem with his ashes last Thursday... He went in for surgery and didn't make it. Yes, I had been toying with the idea of finding a new home for him, because I wanted him to have a more fulfilling life than what we were providing, but then decided we would look into getting him a play mate.. now I have almost taken an oath to never have a pet again. It has been harder than I thought, mostly because it came as such a shock..

The very first night I took him home, I put on the only movie that was Dog-Friendly and also one of my faves- "All Dogs Go to Heaven", and as nerdy & dorky as it sounds, I know I will see my first child and awesome buddy again.

He was a special dog and is very loved and missed.
